About Allison.
Allison Driskell, LCSW
Hello, I’m Allison Driskell, Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Kentucky.
For me, counseling is deeply personal — it comes from my life as a mother to seven children through both birth and adoption, and from walking closely with trauma, loss, resilience, and redemption. I believe every person carries God-given worth, and I consider it a sacred honor to sit with individuals and families as they move toward healing, connection, and peace.
I have extensive experience working with foster and adoptive families, trauma, PTSD, and addiction. I understand that survival stories are rarely simple, and that healing is often layered. My goal is to offer a safe, grounded, and compassionate space where you don’t have to explain the realities of trauma — because I’ve spent years in those spaces with others and lived pieces of it myself.
I’m laid back, down to earth, and believe in a holistic, whole-person approach that honors mind, body, and spirit. I love Jesus, and for those who desire it, I’m grateful to integrate faith into the therapeutic process. Whether you prefer clinical tools, spiritual support, or a blend of both, I tailor therapy to fit who you are, not the other way around.

My Approach
I primarily use CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) to support emotional regulation, build healthy thinking patterns, and improve relationships and responses to stress. These modalities are combined with a compassionate and relational style rooted in humility, humor, and hope.
In our work together, you can expect a space where:
- Your story is honored without judgment
- Your nervous system and body responses are acknowledged, not ignored
- Your strengths and resilience are recognized
- Practical skills meet spiritual depth if you choose a faith-integrated approach
- Healing is pursued at your pace — never rushed, never minimized
- I believe growth is possible, even when life has felt overwhelming. And you don’t have to walk it alone.
